Live performance appears to be a large part of several music videos - for example, bands Muse and Biffy Clryo (and no doubt others)have released alternate version of albums; music videos or entire albums composed of live performance footage. Examples of this would be Muse's HAARP Album, which contains only live performance videos filmed during their 2007 concert at Wembly Stadium, and Biffy Clyro's Only Revolutions liver performance DVD from a concert in Wembley arena.
Muse also released two interactive music videos filmed with 360 degree fish eye lenses - the viewer can, as the song plays, change the camera location themselves to see different views.
