During the previous year of school, whilst I was planning the production of my AS Level coursework thriller film opening a fellow student in the year above was beginning the shooting of his A2 Music Video - his chosen song was Up All Night by Blink 182.
The first shoot of the video I remember very clearly, as I was requested to help as one of the film crew - the student was doing the project on his own, as I plan to, and therefore was using the help of many others to assemble a cast and crew for the live performance shoot (see video below).
The fact that certain parts of film gear are visible (such as the lighting rigs and occasionally wires) have struck inspiration in me - as opposed to diong live performance on the stage, I may include several live performance shots of the recording of the video, similarly to how another student last year included shots of the recording of the song as part of his video's narrative.
